My Policy

T&Cs Apply

My T&Cs are non-negotiable, you must read & accept all terms & conditions before proceeding to book.

 

Please read carefully.

 

Once you make your booking, you are agreeing & have agreed to these terms. Once you have booked you will be in a contract with me until the work has been completed.

 

Our contract will only be terminated if you cancel within the times stated in the 'Cancellations Policy', please refer to this for more information.

 

Before any work takes place, clients will be asked to read and sign my indemnity form. As a website creator, I also set up Google Businesses, which sometimes requires your personal or work Gmail password and email that I will need to set up your Google Business page. I may hold onto sensitive personal information for this reason. My indemnity form protects myself, my business and you as my (the) client. My form will reiterate everything written from My Policy page, with additional information on law, personal information etc. Once you have signed and emailed the copy back to me, you will receive a copy for your records via email in PDF form.

Payments & Refunds

Payments& Reunds

Clients are required to pay a 50% non-refundable or negotiable deposit upfront to secure all orders.

 

No work will begin until the required amount has been received.

 

All UK clients must pay via bank transfer through invoice & international via Monzo only. Invoices will be sent via email.

 

Payments are non-refundable under any circumstances.

 

(Refer to 'Cancellations' for more information).

Alterations

All Branding designs include 3 alterations to be used if needed. Once the initial design has been sent. Any further alterations after the initial 3 designs will be charged accordingly.

 

Larger alterations & a full initial design will not be charged as an alteration & will be charged accordingly - this will cost more than minor alterations.

 

All alterations made MUST KEEP to the original design & design brief discussed at the beginning of the process. If you decide to change the design completely, diverting from the original, this will be at an additional cost; with an additional 50% being paid upfront before any work is started. This is because, as the designer, I will have to start from scratch and this will be classed as a fully new design and not an alteration.

Time Duration

Time duration will vary depending on your order & my availability at the time of booking. This may be from 1 week to 4 weeks or longer. I will be in contact with you (client) at all times.

Once your deposit is sent, I will begin working on the design process. A completion date will be discussed with you and confirmed in an email.

Your completion date will be extended if alterations are needed after your initial design has been sent & approved by you.

What happens?

You will receive a response within 72 hours after sending an enquiry.

 

You will be given the option to have a phone call to discuss your inspirations, themes & ideas for your project. Or you may opt to have my questionnaire forwarded to your email for you to fill in. During our conversation (or email), I will request clients to send over their inspirations & ideas. A mood board consisting of: Designs, fonts, colours, themes & design elements. If you do not have a mood board, I encourage you create one. If you do not have time to create a mood board, just be as specific as possible in your descriptions during our call or on my questionnaire.

Once I have gone over your ideas, only once you've agreed & your deposit or full cost amount is received to secure your order, will I proceed with your project.

 

If you wish to change your design between our initial call or email, after your deposit has been paid. You must immediately send over all new ideas ASAP. This could result in a price change & a new completion date will be discussed with you.

After I have sent your initial designs, any alterations that need to be made will be done within 72 Hours.

 

Any alterations can delay your completion date, which is why it's important to give me an accurate design brief & any additional images i.e. logos you want to be used from the beginning.

 

Once you have approved your designs. You will pay the remaining balance (unless you have paid in full). All my designs will be watermarked with my logo & will not be removed until the full payment is received.

 

All designs will be sent to your email in the following file formats:

 

PNG | PDF | JPEG

 (In the highest quality format, best for printing)

 

Websites will not be transferred (handed over) until full payment is received.

 

Websites will be handed over by transfer. I will take the client through the entire process, setting up the appropriate account, web hosting payment and domain purchase and connection. This will be the time I request a form of payment i.e. bank card. Your card details will be in safe hands and will only be used to set up your web hosting subscription and to purchase your domain unless you already have one.

 

Once the website payment has been completed and accepted, the website will be transferred over to the client’s account. Once the website has been published, the client shall receive 2 free weeks of assistance - this is to ensure everything runs smoothly or to fix broken links, buttons and to correct any issues that may occur after publication. The client shall be emailed a start and end date for this assistance, once the end date has expired; the client will be given a 'Maintenance Fee' per mend and update if they so choose to accept further monthly assistance and maintenance from me.

Website Reserving

If a client has purchased a website build from MCD and has paid the deposit, the deposit only covers the work already completed i.e the mock-up design. Until the full payment has been made the website is on reserve for said client. If the client does not correspond to emails or follow up with the full payment within a year, I, the designer and builder, have the right to sell the website design and layout to a new company. Unless the client has stated otherwise for the delay in response, payment or delay in finishing the website contract, I, the designer have the right to sell the website design and layout to a new company.

Any website that is sold onto a new company will have any copyrighted images, company names and other company copyrighted information REMOVED before the new client views the mock up.  

Canellations

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your order with me, whether for branding or website-related, you must do so within 48 hours' notice.

 

Cancelling within 48 hours before your start date (this being after I receive your 50% deposit) & before any work begins: your 50% deposit or full amount will be refunded entirely & immediately.

 

Cancelling later than 48 hours before the start date: NO refund will be given.

Lastly, as much as I want to work with you & give you your dream products and website. It is important that I am the right designer for you.

It is important that you are happy & be sure I am the right fit for you.

 

​I, as the designer; have the right to refuse work. If I feel there is going to be an issue from the beginning or I feel I cannot provide what you have asked, I will politely decline & recommend other designs and freelance website creators.

 

In the case of rejection of work or termination (on my part) if a contract between the designer (me), and client (you) has already begun & a payment has already been made a full refund will be made.
